On 25 June, 2020, Calvin Walker participated in a live webinar panel discussion on the African Renewables market alongside Hugh Hawarden , Infrastructure Finance Director at Rand Merchant Bank and Ashwin West, Investment Director at AIIM (African Infrastructure Investment Managers). The discussion covered such matters as:  the role of DFIs in getting deals done in most African countries; how the market is evolving; the experience and lessons learned from the South African Renewables Programme (to extent relevant outside South Africa) ; and what new sources of capital are available.
