PUBLIC COURSE
This 2-day course is designed to provide participants with a practical framework for analysing risks that are specific to the oil & gas industry and introduces strategies that can be applied in mitigating those risks in order to develop bankable financing structures for projects along the oil & gas value chain.
Starting with an introduction to Project Finance and the structure of the Oil & Gas industry, participants are then guided through the process of analysing risks and understanding the various mitigation strategies that can be implemented. A live cashflow model is used to illustrate how the quantum of debt a project can support is established.
The course then guides participants through the oil & gas value chain, highlighting similarities and differences between the financing of upstream, midstream and downstream projects. Debt structuring knowledge is consolidated with participants building their own Project organogram, before the course concludes with an introduction to the increasing importance of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues.
On completion of the course, participants will be equipped with a clear understanding of:
