This course has been designed to introduce participants with little or no prior knowledge of renewable fuels projects to the necessary requirements for raising project finance debt for renewable fuels projects.

Participants will learn about the key properties of renewable fuels, including the feedstock characteristics necessary for meeting both European and US regulatory requirements.   Subsequently, they will be guided through the lenders’ approach to analysing the risks that are specific to renewable fuels projects, as well as understanding the various mitigation strategies available. Finally, participants will learn about pricing dynamics, current outlook for renewable fuels, and typical loan structures.

The half-day course (3 ½ hours), which is delivered by live webinar is led by Ian Cogswell, who shares his knowledge gained from over 25 years’ experience leading and advising on project finance transactions and who has recent experience in the financing of renewable fuels projects.
