Philosophy To provide our patients with the best possible treatment in a General Practice setting, using the most up-todate and proven methods, materials and equipment; emphasising prevention of disease as a higher ideal than the actual treatment of it. This philosophy will best be achieved in a working environment where we recognise the patient as being the most important person in the practice and where we work in an ethical and responsible manner, in an environment of teamwork, with mutual respect for each others abilities and functions.
Training style Full range of processes including dedicated teaching sessions and joint teacher/learner consultations. Our Teaching Clinic includes dedicated parallel consulting rooms for consulting with registrars / medical students being the first point of contact for selected patients who are seen by the learner/ supervisor in joint consultation. Patients are encouraged to make follow up appointments with "their" student/registrar. We hold regular clinical meetings involving all our clinical staff, local allied health practitioners and visiting doctors. Registrars also have dedicated face to face teaching sessions with their supervisor/s. All our doctors are involved in the training of our Registrars / Students as they are encouraged to share their knowledge & special skills.
