Training style By discussion of cases. Discussion of interesting cases cropping up for Supervisor and Registrar. Feedback from other partners, associates and nurses. Requesting Registrar to attend to patients in the triage area.

Demographic Area Kiama is the smallest Local Government Area in the Illawarra Region, situated on the coast about 120kms south of Sydney and immediately below Wollongong and Shellharbour urban area and is essentially a rural community covering an area of 258 square kms. The total population of Kiama in 2013 is estimated at 21,047 (2013 Sensis) and is estimated to increase to 23,115 by 2019. With over one-third of the population being over 55 years of age. This area has attracted retirees for many years and is serviced by 2 nursing homes, Blue Haven in Kiama and Mayflower in Gerringong.The major industry is tourism and there are many services in the area which cater for this including caravan parks, hotels and motels, restaurants and cafes.
