Philosophy 1- The Kambah Village Medical Practice has a general philosophy of encouraging life long self directed learning for all of its clinical and administrative staff. KVMP has been involved in teaching CCCT general practice registrars and ANU medical student since 2005.
Training style Modes of teaching are tailored to suit the individual teaching styles of all involved. Vertical integrated learning for Medical students, basic and advanced registrars is actively encouraged. Tuesday mornings are set aside for dedicated teaching time. It is expected that all learners will attend all of these sessions, and at least one supervisor will be present. Basic GP registrars also have dedicated time to work through their GP start workbook requirements.
Special Interest Particular areas of strength and special interest include womens health (shared antenatal care, menopause medicine, family planning) chronic disease management, mental health, dermatology, sleep medicine, travel medicine, indigenous health and paediatrics.

Demographic Area Kambah is the largest suburb in Canberra with a population of 16,000 people. Our practice is located within the Kambah Village Shopping Centre which is the commercial hub of the area.
Community Apart from Retail shops and supermarkets, other health providers including pharmacy, chriopractors and dentists are located nearby. The practice is accessible by bus and adequate parking is available in the centre.
