Demographic Area Demographics paint a picture of a region continuing to transform, with above average growth for rural localities, while its unique historical and geographical setting give it iconic high country status.Jindabyne has a diverse range of people from a variety of different cultural backgrounds. We have a large number of young families as well as ageing population. The population in winter swells due to the influx of seasonal workers and tourists who come to work and play in the snowfields. Because the town is a 45 minute drive to the local hospital the practice sees a significant number of emergency presentations, particularly in the winter months
Community The practice is located in the new purpose built GP Superclinic, a modern structure with amazing lake views. Jindabyne is a short 2 hour drive from Canberra and is the gateway to the Snowy Mountains. Enjoy snow sports in the winter months and mountain bike riding, fishing and waters sports in the summer on picturesque Lake Jindabyne. or enjoy tennis, golf or lawn bowls or join the local gym. The town has both state and private schools catering to students from Kindergarten to Year 12 as well as a variety of community services including the CWA, Mens Shed, and other community based services. There is also cinema screening all the new release films.
